  5. John Freeman-Mitford, 1st Baron Redesdale was born on 18 August 1748. He was the son of John Mitford and Philadelphia Reveley. He married Lady Frances Perceval, daughter of John Perceval, 2nd Earl of Egmont and Catherine Compton, Baroness Arden, on 6 June 1803. He died on 16 January 1830 at age 81. He was a practising Barrister-at-Law in 1777.
