23 de may. de 2018 · The old electoral line died out with Otto Henry's passing of the Palatinate to Frederick III, the Pious (ruled 1559 – 1576) of the cadet line Palatinate-Simmern. By converting to Reformed (Calvinist) Protestantism with the publication of the Heidelberg Catechism (1563), Frederick initiated the "Second Reformation" of the Palatinate.
