John (III) de Mowbray, 4th Baron Mowbray (24 June 1340 – 19 October 1368) was an English peer. He was slain near Constantinople while en route to the Holy Land.

Their son John de Mowbray, 3rd Baron Mowbray (d. 1361) was father, by Joan of Lancaster, a daughter of Henry, 3rd Earl of Lancaster, of John, Lord Mowbray (c. 1328–1368), whose marriage with the heiress of John de Segrave, 4th Baron Segrave, by the heiress of Edward I's son Thomas, earl of Norfolk and marshal of England, further increased the family's wealth and property.

John, Knt., 3rd Lord Mowbray, born 29 November 1310, [1] died 4 October 1361, married three times [2] [4] Sir John Mowbray, 2nd Lord Mowbray, was taken prisoner at the Battle of Boroughbridge on 16 March 1321/2. His maternal grandparents were William Bourchier, Count of Eu and Anne of Gloucester. In 1451 the earldom of Surrey was revived for him.
