Johnny Weissmuller Jr. war der Sohn des Schwimmers, fünfmaligen Olympiasiegers und Tarzan -Darstellers Johnny Weissmüller (1904–1984) sowie dessen dritter Ehefrau Beryl Scott Weissmuller (1916–1991).
