July 13, 2019November 21, 2021. WHERE ARE THEY NOW? Jade were not “One Woman”, there were three of them, so “Don’t Walk Away”! Di Reed, Joi Marshall and Tonya Kelly came together in 1991 to form the ‘girl band’ Jade and were signed by producer Vassal Benford to Giant Records the following year.
The group Jade originally consisted of Joi Marshall, Angela Slates, and Debra Mitchell, called JAD. Producer Vassal Benford initially sold the song "I Wanna Love You" before recording Marshall, Slates, and Mitchell's voices.
