The History of St Anne’s Church, Kew. Built: 1714 onwards. Listing: Grade II* The first Church on this site was built in 1714 on land given by Queen Anne, and largely at her expense. It contained twenty-one pews and an upper gallery.
St Anne's witnesses to the Christian faith and has a central place, both past and present, in Kew community life. Our historic building is situated on Kew Green, adjacent to the world famous Royal Botanic Gardens.
