  1. The 20th Regiment of Foot was designated the 20th (East Devonshire) Regiment of Foot in 1782. The regiment embarked for Holland in August 1799 to take part in the Anglo-Russian invasion of Holland and fought at the Battle of Krabbendam in September 1799 and the Battle of Alkmaar in October 1799.

  6. The museum is made up of two main galleries - The Lancashire Fusiliers (LF) and The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers (RRF). The LF gallery tells the story of the 20th Regiment of Foot and the Lancashire Fusiliers from 1688 to 1968, when they then became part of The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers.
