Thomas Lyon-Bowes, Master of Glamis (born 1821) Glamis Castle. Thomas Lyon-Bowes (born and died 21 October 1821) was the first child of Thomas Lyon-Bowes, Lord Glamis, and his wife Charlotte Lyon-Bowes née Grimstead, great-grandparents of Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, who became queen consort in 1936.

Lyon-Bowes was the eldest surviving son of Thomas Lyon-Bowes, Lord Glamis, son of Thomas Bowes-Lyon, 11th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne. His mother was Charlotte Grimstead, daughter of Joseph Valentine Grimstead, of Merry Hall, Lower Ashtead, Surrey.He succeeded his grandfather in the earldom in 1846.
An amateur cricketer, Strathmore played first-class cricket for the Marylebone Cricket Club from 1844 to 1857. In 1852 he was elected a Scottish representative peer, a post he held until July 1865.
Lord Strathmore married the Honourable Charlotte Maria Barrington, daughter of William Barrington, 6th Viscount Barrington, on 30 April 1850. The marriage was childless. She died on 3 November 1854, aged 27. Lord Strathmore died on 13 September 1865, aged 42, and was succeeded in the earldom by his younger brother, Claude.

Thomas Lyon-Bowes, Master of Glamis (1821–1821) Thomas Lyon-Bowes, 12th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne (1822–1865) – grandson of the 11th Earl. Claude Bowes-Lyon, 13th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne (1824–1904) – brother of the 12th Earl, created Baron Bowes in the Peerage of the United Kingdom in 1887.
Claude George Bowes-Lyon, 14th and 1st Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne, KG, KT, GCVO, TD (14 March 1855 – 7 November 1944), styled as Lord Glamis from 1865 to 1904, was a British peer and landowner who was the father of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother and the maternal grandfather of Queen Elizabeth II .
