Josiah Magama Tongogara (4 February 1938 – 26 December 1979) was a prominent Zimbabwean guerrilla commander during the Rhodesian Bush War. He was the brother of the current Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa's first wife, Jayne.

Tongogara is Chief of Defence of DARE ReChimurenga (Supreme Council of ZANU) and commander-in-chief of ZIPA. He is a tough, clear-thinking man with positive ideas on political development.

The exhibition shows the legendary figure in portraits, starting from when he was twenty years old and in Zambia, where he had gone to seek employment. Tongogara means “surrender” in Shona.
