Jule Styne (born Julius Kerwin Styne, December 31, 1905 – September 20, 1994) was a British-American songwriter and composer. He attended Chicago Musical College and wrote his
Mr. Styne was a 1990 Kennedy Center Honoree and was the recipient of an Oscar, a Tony, two Grammys, an Emmy, a Donaldson Award and a Drama Critics Award. The following lyricists collaborated with Mr. Styne: Frank Loesser, Sammy Cahn, Leo Robin, E.Y. Harburg, Stephen Sondheim, Susan Birkenhead, Betty Comden and Adolph Green, and Bob Merrill.
