Jules Hardouin-Mansart (Parijs, 16 april 1646 - Marly-le-Roi, 11 mei 1708) was een Frans architect, architect des konings (van Lodewijk XIV). Jules' grootoom was François Mansart , naar wie de zogenaamde mansardedaken zijn genoemd.

His domestic designs include the Maison des Dames de Saint-Chaumont (1734) and the Hôtel Mansart de Sagonne (1743), both in Paris, both of which were essentially Rococo in style.
The Grand Trianon was erected by Jules Hardouin-Mansart in 1687 on the site of the former ‘Porcelain Trianon’. Commissioned by Louis XIV in 1670 to get away from the arduous pomp of life in the court and to pursue his affair with Madame de Montespan, the Grand Trianon is perhaps the most refined architectural ensemble found on the royal estate of Versailles.

Jules Hardouin Mansart succeeded Le Vau as Royal Architect to King Louis XIV, whose taste for power and prestige he obediently reflected in the grandiose facades of the Palace of Versailles, as well as the first "French Windows" which he designed for the Grand Trianon at Versailles, and in the majestic dome of Les Invalides (1679-91).
