In 2020 for every 5 credits you achieve you get 1 extra 'learning recognition' credit. At Level 2 the maximum amount of these you can gain is 8. This means that a student needs 52 NCEA Level 2 credits assuming that they are all achieved in 2020 and they already have at least 20 NCEA Level 1 credits.

Pastoral Care. Pastoral care is an essential element in successful achievement and is an important part of the Kāpiti College way. Form teachers are the first port of call for pastoral needs. The Dean for Year 9 is Ramona Barbara, with support from Kate Jensen (Junior School Senior Manager) The Year 10 Deans are Rachel Leigh and Fiona Wilkin.
Kāpiti College is situated in Raumati Beach, a suburb of the town of Paraparaumu, a friendly beach community 40 minutes drive from Central Wellington. The college is a decile 8 state coed school and has a roll of over 1500, including 71 international students from many different countries.
