Julia Lee (October 31, 1902 – December 8, 1958) was an American blues and dirty blues musician. Her most commercially successful number was the US Billboard R&B chart topping hit "(Opportunity Knocks But Once) Snatch and Grab It" in 1947. She is best known for her trademark double entendre songs.

Description. Additional information. In many ways Julia was a pioneer of Rhythm & Blues, she had her own unique vocal style that embodied what was then a certain Kansas City sound. Her piano playing also contained different traits, this combination of talents made her extremely popular during the Forties and Fifties.
