Carl Joseph Eberth. (Wurzburgo, 1835 - Berlín, 1926) Patólogo y bacteriólogo alemán. Se le debe el descubrimiento en 1880 del agente causal de la fiebre tifoidea (bacilo de Eberth o Eberthella), así como diversos trabajos sobre histología y organografía.
