Mary Dickens died in 1896 at Farnham Royal, Buckinghamshire, and is buried beside her sister Kate Perugini in Sevenoaks. She married Charles Allston Collins, the younger brother of Wilkie Collins. Dickens didn’t consider it a good marriage. After Charles’ death, Kate married Carlo Perugini.
