The N.G. Zhiganov Kazan State Conservatory is a higher musical education institution in Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia. The conservatory was founded in 1945 by Soviet Tatar composer Najip Jihanov who was a rector of the institution during 1945-1988. In 2000 the Conservatory was named after him.
Kazan conservatoire is one of the leading ones among the institutes of higher education of Russian Federation. Educational programs are realized on 8 faculties and 20 subdepartments, where are getting trained about 700 students and postgraduate students from different regions of Russia and also China, Korea, Japan, the USA.
