Kermit Roosevelt (10 octobre 1889 - 4 juin 1943 (à 53 ans) est le second fils du président américain Theodore Roosevelt et d'Edith Roosevelt. Theodore Roosevelt married Alice Hathaway Lee in 1880. She died two days after their child Alice Lee Roosevelt was born in 1884. His mother had died less than a day previous, and Roosevelt was heartbroken. Roosevelt remarried in 1886 to Edith Kermit Carow. She had been a childhood and family friend.

Kermit Roosevelt Sr. MC was an American businessman, soldier, explorer, and writer. A son of Theodore Roosevelt, the 26th President of the United States, Kermit graduated from Harvard College, served in both World Wars, and explored two continents with his father. He fought a lifelong battle with depression and died by suicide while serving in the US Army in Alaska during World War II.
