Kevin Scott Macmichael (7 November 1951 – 31 December 2002) was a Canadian guitarist, songwriter and record producer, best known for being a member of the 1980s UK-based pop-rock band, Cutting Crew, who had a number-one hit in 1986 with "(I Just) Died in Your Arms".

During these cross-Canada tours Nick meets Canadian guitarist Kevin MacMichael and MacMichael flies to UK to form “Cutting Crew” in 1985. The following year they add Colin Farley on bass and Martin “Frosty” Beedle on drums to the band and the original line-up was complete.

While touring Canada, the Drivers had a support band called Fast Forward, whose line-up included guitarist Kevin MacMichael. [3] . Van Eede was so impressed with MacMichael's guitar playing that he asked him to form a new band with him. The Drivers broke up in 1984, but MacMichael continued to tour with Fast Forward.
