Hace 1 día · Er studierte erst an der Dresdner Kunstgewerbeschule, später an der Dresdner Kunstakademie bei Georg Wrba und lebte danach als freiberuflicher Bildhauer in der Stadt. Rost war Mitglied der Reichskammer der bildenden Künste und als Wrba in den Ruhestand ging, wurde Rost im Juni 1939 vom sächsischen Reichsstatthalter Martin Mutschmann als Nachfolger berufen.
