Learning to Crawl is the third studio album by British-American rock band the Pretenders. It was released on 13 January 1984 by Sire Records after a hiatus during which band members James Honeyman-Scott and Pete Farndon died of drug overdoses.

William Murray Bremner (born 4 August 1946, in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland) is a Scottish guitarist, best known for his work in the band Rockpile and on many of Nick Lowe and Dave Edmunds' albums.
The third Pretenders album, Learning to Crawl was produced by "fifth Pretender" Chris Thomas and released in January 1984. [4] In July 1985, the band (including Rupert Black on keyboards) played at Live Aid . [4]
The third Pretenders album, Learning to Crawl, took shape over 14 turbulent months as founder and frontwoman Chrissie Hynde faced literal life and death challenges: the birth of her daughter and the fatal overdoses of two original bandmates.
