When Dinah Washington died in 1963, the news story was rather shockingly buried on page 79 of the 350-page issue of The New York Times. Early reports said that she had spent the evening watching TV with her husband, Detroit Lions halfback Dick Lane.

What IS new to this long time collector, and as far as I know, never previously available, are the last 4 tracks - a live recording of Dinah Washington with Woody Herman, recorded Oct. 15, 1952 in Portland, Oregon. At this point in time, it seems every couple of years a few "new" tracks of Dinah will appear on a release such as this.
