Biografía de Lois Weber. El día 13 de junio del año 1881, nació en Pittsburg, en el Estado de Pennsylvania, en los Estados Unidos, la actriz Louis Weber. Desde su infancia la actriz comenzó a interesarse por el arte, la música y la interpretación. Sus primeros pasos fueron como pianista y cantante, cantando en la ciudad de Nueva York.
Lois Weber, como mujer y cineasta, fue sensible a estos movimientos internos femeninos y necesitó escenificar, en los cuerpos de sus personajes, esta problemática: supo documentar el surgimiento de una nueva psicología femenina, a partir de visualizar de manera compleja y contradictoria la dificultad de hacerse mujer en la era de la modernidad.
