Julia died in April 1814, shortly after the birth of their youngest child, Louisa. Jenkinson remained a widower until his death in October 1851, aged 67.

She was the wife of Robert Banks Jenkinson, second earl of liverpool, then Viscount, later Lord, Liverpool, who was British prime-minister from 1812 to 1827, following the murder of prime-minister, Spencer Perceval.
Jenkinson's first wife, Louisa, died at 54. He married again on 24 September 1822 to Mary Jenkinson, Countess of Liverpool. Lord Liverpool was born Robert Jenkinson in London into a landowning family in 1770. He was educated at Charterhouse and Christ Church, Oxford. While at Oxford, he did the customary ‘Grand Tour’ of Europe, happening to witness the Fall of the Bastille on 14 July 1789. In 1790, Jenkinson was elected to the seat of Rye, which he held until 1803.
In 1793 Louisa met Robert Jenkinson, a Member of Parliament and the son of Lord Hawkesbury, the future Earl of Liverpool. Robert frequently visited Louisa and her mother in Wimbledon, Surrey, where they had recently moved. By November 1794 they had agreed to marry. Louisa's father consented to the marriage and promised a dowry of £10,000.
