Luca Parmitano (27 de septiembre de 1976, Paternò, Italia) es un astronauta italiano en el Cuerpo Europeo de Astronautas de la Agencia Espacial Europea (ESA). Los astronautas trabajan en misiones en la Estación Espacial Internacional. Fue seleccionado como astronauta de la ESA en mayo de 2009.

Colonel Luca Parmitano (born 27 September 1976 in Paternò, Sicily) is an Italian astronaut in the European Astronaut Corps for the European Space Agency (ESA). He was selected as an ESA astronaut in May 2009. Parmitano is also a Colonel and test pilot for the Italian Air Force.

21 de jul. de 2019 · Luca Parmitano trains for Beyond mission at EAC. Over the next six months, Luca will support more than 50 European experiments as well as 200 international experiments. These include investigations into how aspects of the human body are affected by microgravity and how astronauts could control robots remotely during lunar exploration.
ESA astronaut Luca Parmitano is no stranger to the International Space Station. During his first mission, Volare, in 2013 he spent 166 days in orbit. He will return to the Space Station on 20 July 2019 for his second mission – Beyond.
