1868 Started painting seriously being trained by her father Ford Madox Brown who she assisted. 1869-1872 Exhibited at the Dudley Museum and Art Gallery. 1870 Exhibited The Duet at the Royal Academy, described by Dante Gabriel Rossetti as ‘the perfect picture’.
Lucy Madox Brown war die einzige Tochter von Ford Madox Brown und Elizabeth Bromley (1818–46). Sie wurde am 19. Juli 1843 in Paris geboren. 1844 kam ließen sich die Eltern in England nieder und 1846 starb ihre Mutter.
