Rao Maldeo Rathore (5 December 1511 – 7 November 1562) was a king of the Rathore dynasty, who ruled the kingdom of Marwar in present day state of Rajasthan.

Born on 30 July 1541, Chandrasen was the sixth son of Rao Maldeo, Raja of Marwar. He was also the younger brother of Udai Singh, his successor. Maldeo named him his successor, putting aside the claims of his older brothers, Ram and Udai Singh.

Rao Maldeo Rathore (r.1511 - November 7, 1562) was an Indian ruler of Marwar, which was later known as Jodhpur (in the present day Rajasthan state of India). He was a scion of the Rathore clan. His father was Rao Ganga and his mother was Rani Padmavati of Sirohi .
Maldeo Rathore Chunda , who was ninth in descent from Asthan, married a Pratihara princess and was gifted the territory of Mandore as a dowry by the Pratihara clan. In return Chunda promised to defend Mandore against the Tughlaq Empire . [12]
