29 de may. de 2018 · Marischal, George Keith, 10th Earl [S] (c.1693–1778). Marischal was the son of a Jacobite sympathizer and succeeded to the earldom in 1712. The title carried with it the hereditary marshalship of Scotland. In 1715 he joined in the earl of Mar's rising on behalf of the pretender, fought at Sheriffmuir, and was attainted.

10 de abr. de 2024 · George Keith, 10th and last Earl Marischal, took the Jacobite side during the 1715 Rising; when that venture failed, he was attainted and fled with his brother into exile in Europe in 1716. After some years in France the Earl spent many years living quietly in Spain.
