James Francis Edward Stuart (10 June 1688 – 1 January 1766), nicknamed the Old Pretender by Whigs and the King over the Water by Jacobites, was the son of King James VII and II of England, Scotland, and Ireland, and his second wife, Mary of Modena.

It commemorates the last three members of the Royal House of Stuart: James Francis Edward Stuart (d. 1766), his elder son Charles Edward Stuart (d. 1788), and his younger son, Henry Benedict Stuart (d. 1807). The Jacobites recognised these three as kings of England, Scotland and Ireland.
