Margaret Courtenay, Baroness Herbert. Lady Margaret Courtenay ( c. 1499 – before 1526) was the only daughter of William Courtenay, 1st Earl of Devon and Catherine of York. When Henry Somerset was born in 1496, in Chepstow, Monmouthshire, Wales, his father, Charles Henry Somerset, was 36 and his mother, Elizabeth Herbert, was 20. He married Margaret Courtenay on 15 June 1520.
