He was brought up in Llanystumdwy and later served as Liberal MP for Caernarfon, Chancellor of the Exchequer, and as Prime Minister from 1916 to 1922.

15 de nov. de 2016 · On March 23 1916, George Smith was charged with the murders of Margaret Lloyd, Alice Smith, and Bessie Williams. Smith’s trial began in June. They jury deliberated for only 20 minutes before rendering a guilty verdict on July 1. Smith was sentenced to death by hanging, and was executed on August 13.
The least prominent member of the family, Lady Olwen Carey-Evans collected many papers relating to her parents, her sister Lady Megan Lloyd-George (1902-66), and her husband, Sir Thomas Carey-Evans (1884-1947). She married her husband from 10 Downing Street in 1917. Her children included Robin, Eluned and Margaret.

Dame Margaret Lloyd George, GBE (née Owen; 4 November 1864 – 20 January 1941) was the first wife of British Prime Minister David Lloyd George from 1888 until her death in 1941 b.4 November 1864 to Richard Owen, an elder of Capel Mawr of Criccieth, Caernarfonshire, a well-to-do Methodist farmer and valuer.
