Berthold II (c. 1050 – 12 April 1111), also known as Berchtold II, was the Duke of Swabia from 1092 to 1098. After he conceded the Duchy of Swabia to the Staufer in 1098, the title of "Duke of Zähringen" was created for him, in use from c. 1100 and continued by his successors until 1218.

Bertoldo II (o Berchtold II) (h. 1050-12 de abril de 1111) fue duque de Suabia desde 1092 hasta 1098. Bertoldo era un hijo de Bertoldo II de Carintia 1 e inicialmente apoyó a Rodolfo de Rheinfelden contra el rey Enrique IV. Erchanger Ahalolfing, dominant count in Alemannia after the execution of Burchard I, declared duke in 915, exiled September 916, executed January 917. Burchard II (917–926, Hunfriding ), recognized Henry the Fowler as king of Germany in 919 and was recognized by Henry as Duke of Swabia in return.

Frederick had to fight for his position with Bertold, son of Duke Rudolph, and the duke's son-in-law, Bertold II, duke of Zahringen, to whom he ceded the Breisgau in 1096. Frederick II succeeded his father in 1105, and was followed by Frederick III , afterwards the emperor Frederick I.
