Margrethe Mather (born Emma Caroline Youngreen; 4 March 1886 – 25 December 1952) was an American photographer. She was one of the best known female photographers of the early 20th century.

Margrethe Mather first met Edward Weston in the autumn of 1913 when she visited his photography studio in Tropica, California. The two became fast friends and with a few other colleagues formed the “Camera Pictorialists of Los Angeles” in 1914.
