Princess Mariam Tsitsishvili was the daughter of Prince Giorgi Tsitsishvili, and the second wife of George XII, then heir apparent to the Georgian throne. They were married her on July 13, 1783 after the death of his first wife, Princess Ketevan Andronikashvili (1754–1782).

Biography. Prince Royal ( batonishvili) Mikheil was the eldest child of George XII born of his second marriage to Mariam Tsitsishvili. He was born in Tbilisi in 1783, when George was still a crown prince and heir apparent to the throne of his reigning father, Heraclius II.
