Marion Loretta Reid CM OPEI (née Doyle; January 4, 1929 – June 22, 2023) was a Canadian politician who was the first female Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island, and the 24th as well as first female Lieutenant Governor of Prince Edward Island.

Marion Reid broke many barriers and greatly contributed to the Province of PEI. She was involved in many political roles, and was especially instrumental within education, as a teacher for 21 years and a board member of the PEI Teachers’ Federation for seven years.
CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Family, friends and former political colleagues are remembering Marion Reid for her long career in public service, as well as her tenure as former lieutenant-governor. Reid, who was also a former deputy Speaker and Speaker of P.E.I.’s legislative assembly, died on June 22.
