Marsha Mason was born on April 3, 1942 in St. Louis, Missouri. Her parents were Jacqueline Helena (nee Rakowski) and James Joseph Mason. She is of Irish and English ancestry by her father. She also has a sister named Linda. She was raised in Crestwood. She studied at the Nerinx Hall High School. Afterwards, she enrolled in the Webster University.
