Mary Jenkinson, Countess of Liverpool (née Chester; 24 June 1777 – 18 October 1846) was the second wife of Robert Jenkinson, 2nd Earl of Liverpool who served as Prime Minister from 1812 to 1827. Biography. Mary Chester was born on 24 June 1777, the daughter of Charles Bagot Chester and Catherine Legge. She had three brothers and one sister.

He married again on 24 September 1822 to Mary Jenkinson, Countess of Liverpool. Jenkinson finally retired on 9 April 1827 after suffering a severe cerebral hemorrhage at his Fife House residence in Whitehall two months earlier, [17] and asked the King to seek a successor.

Earl of Liverpool. Robert Banks Jenkinson, 2. Earl of Liverpool (* 7. Juni 1770 in London; † 4. Dezember 1828 in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey) war ein britischer Staatsmann. Robert Banks Jenkinson, 2nd Earl of Liverpool (June 7, 1770 - December 4, 1828) was a British statesman, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1812 to 1827. The son of George III's close adviser Charles Jenkinson, 1st Earl of Liverpool, Robert Jenkinson was educated at Charterhouse School and Christ's College, Cambridge.
In 1786 he was created Baron Hawkesbury and ten years later Earl of Liverpool. He died in London on 17 December 1808 . Liverpool was twice married: first to Amelia (d. 1770), daughter of William Watts, governor of Fort William, Bengal , and secondly to Catherine, daughter of Sir Cecil Bisshoff, Bart., and widow of Sir Charles Cope, Bart. be had a son by each marriage.
