On this day, in 1895, Matthew Ridgway was born, he was a U.S. Army leader in World War II and Korea and he commanded Art Traver’s unit in the War World II. In 1916, the Town of Saratoga bonded $10,000 to rebuild with the Town of Easton the bridge over the Westerly Channel of the Hudson River.
