4 de abr. de 2024 · Matthew Bunker Ridgway (born March 3, 1895, Fort Monroe [Hampton], Virginia, U.S.—died July 26, 1993, Fox Chapel, near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) was a U.S. Army officer who planned and executed the first major airborne assault in U.S. military history with the attack on Sicily in July 1943.
