Sam Webb (architect) Samuel Webb MBE (5 August 1937 – 24 September 2022) was a British architect who was famous for his work on the structural and fire safety of Tower Blocks following his investigation into the Ronan Point tower block.

Webb's portico is built of rendered brick with Corinthian capitals of Burford stone. Its design, however, has anomalies, which are not consistent with the work of such an experienced architect. It has "abrupt" side opening; these are rectangular and bricked rather than more conventionally arched and plastered while the pediment itself is made of painted wood rather than stone.
