27 de jun. de 2018 · These two publications, together with the exhibition May Morris: Art & Life, held at the William Morris Gallery, London, from October 2017 to January 2018, mark a major advance in giving due credit to a British woman designer and maker of considerable distinction and in the scholarship of particular aspects of the British Arts and Crafts Movement.

5 de mar. de 2021 · May Morris may have been overshadowed for many years by her famous father William, but in recent years she has stepped into the limelight as an outstanding artist in her own right. A Hammersmith resident from 1878 to 1920s, she was a lecturer, writer, editor, accomplished designer and jeweller, but it is her work as an embroiderer that is today considered her greatest achievement.
