Melchiorre Cesarotti. Melchiorre Cesarotti (Italian pronunciation: [melˈkjɔrre tʃezaˈrɔtti]; May 15, 1730 – November 4, 1808) was an Italian poet, translator and theorist. Biography Bust of Melchiore Cesarotti. He was born at Padua, of a noble but impoverished family.
Melchiorre Cesarotti estudió y luego enseñó retórica en el seminario de Padua. Fue nombrado en 1768 profesor de griego y hebreo en la Universidad de esta ciudad y, en 1806, fue pensionado por Napoleón I st.
