4 de mar. de 2024 · The Memphis Belle is a war film released in 1990. The movie depicts the story of the famous B-17 bomber named “Memphis Belle” and its crew during World War II. The film was directed by Michael Caton-Jones. Caton-Jones meticulously recreated the historical events surrounding the iconic bomber’s final mission.
Hace 3 días · The recognized authority on the surviving B-17 airframes is a book called Final Cut by Scott Thompson. Thompson researched every B-17 airframe that survived World War Two, and determined their ultimate fates. That is no small feat given that there were nearly 13,000 B-17's produced during the war years.
