While his early acoustic recordings in Memphis (1951-2954) are excellent, it is the recordings from the late '50s and mid-'60s that are unrivaled. When Horton's music is discussed in print, often the reference is to his later albums on Blind Pig ( Can't Keep Lovin' You and Fine Cuts) and Alligator ( Big Walter Horton with Carey Bell ).
