Michael Fergus Bowes-Lyon, 18th and 5th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne, DL (7 June 1957 – 27 February 2016), styled Lord Glamis between 1972 and 1987, was a British politician and soldier, and a first cousin, once removed, of Queen Elizabeth II. He was usually known to family and friends as Mikey Strathmore.

Michael Bowes-Lyon, 18th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne (1957–2016). Related places. The Bowes Museum, a purpose-built public art gallery for John Bowes and his wife Joséphine Chevalier, Countess of Montalbo [broken anchor], has a nationally renowned art collection and is situated in the town of Barnard Castle, Teesdale, County Durham, England.
He rose to the rank of Captain in the British Army, serving with the Scots Guards. He succeeded his father as 18th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne in 1987. Prior to the succession, he was styled Lord Glamis from 1972 to 1987. Lord Strathmore was married three times.
