Michael John Gambon (Dublín, 19 de octubre de 1940) es un actor irlandés-británico de teatro, televisión y cine. Actor laureado en teatro, Gambon ha protagonizado obras de autores como William Shakespeare , Samuel Beckett , Alan Ayckbourn o Harold Pinter .
Sir Michael John Gambon CBE ( / ˈɡæmbɒn /; born 19 October 1940) is an Irish-English actor. [1] Gambon started his acting career with Laurence Olivier as one of the original members of the Royal National Theatre. Over his six decade long career he has received three Olivier Awards, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and four BAFTA Awards.
Sir Michael Gambon was born in Cabra, Dublin, Ireland, to Mary (Hoare), a seamstress, and Edward Gambon, an engineer. After joining the National Theatre, under the Artistic Directorship of Sir Laurence Olivier, Gambon went on to appear in a number of leading roles in plays written by Alan Ayckbourn.
