20 de dic. de 2014 · Miroslav Vitouš vivió 22 años en Estados Unidos, país en el que no piensa volver a establecerse, posteriormente en Alemania y Suiza, y tras la caída de la Cortina de Hierro probó suerte de nuevo en su Checoslovaquia natal, a la que, como muchos otros exiliados que volvieron, no acabó de acostumbrarse y decidió establecerse en otro lugar.
Miroslav Vitous played music with his brother Alan and Jan Hammer while attending the Prague Conservatory, and played in a Dixieland band with trumpeter/singer Jírí Jerinek. Winning first prize in an international music competition in Vienna gave Miroslav the opportunity to study in the U.S., at Berklee College of Music.
