MC5 was an American rock band formed in Lincoln Park, Michigan, in 1963. The classic line-up consisted of vocalist Rob Tyner, guitarists Wayne Kramer and Fred "Sonic" Smith, bassist Michael Davis, and drummer Dennis Thompson.

MC5 (Motor City 5) is a rock/proto-punk band from Detroit, which in the successful occupation existed from 1965 to 1972. The band fell short time on by her explosive high energy music and performances, combined with the militant political activism of the American counterculture.
