About The Artist. Vanessa Renee Williams was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and is the very proud mother of one daughter, Lisa. She was named the 2019-2020 Artist-In-Residence of The Prince George's African American Museum and Cultural Center, and is an adjunct Art instructor for the Prince George's Community College SAGE program.
