My Cousin Rachel is a British mystery television series adapted from the novel of the same title by Daphne du Maurier. [1] . It first aired on BBC 2 in four parts between 7 and 28 March 1983. Plot synopsis. Philip Ashley’s cousin and guardian Ambrose has mysteriously died in Italy.

Plot summary. Ambrose Ashley is the owner of a large country estate on the Cornish coast and has been guardian to his orphaned cousin Philip since the latter was eighteen months old. On Sundays, Philip's godfather Nick Kendall and his daughter Louise come to lunch with them, as do the Reverend Mr Pascoe and his family.
