Nathanael Saint (30 August 1923 – 8 January 1956) was an evangelical Christian missionary pilot who, along with four others, was killed in Ecuador while attempting to evangelize the Huaorani people through efforts known as Operation Auca.

Always one to dream up “gadgets,” Nate invented a number of devices that are still in use by missionary pilots today, such as the dual injection engine and the “bucket drop.” Ultimately, though, Nate was driven by his desire to reach the lost for Christ.
Nathanael "Nate" Saint was an evangelical Christian missionary pilot to Ecuador. He was accompanied by four others: Jim Elliot, Pete Fleming, Ed McCully, and Roger Youderain. All five were killed while attempting to evangelize the Huaorani people through efforts known as Operation Auca.

In one year alone, 51 people died in missionary plane crashes in the jungle. In 1948, Nate and his wife traveled to Ecuador to open an MAF base at Shell Mara.
